Our featured artists bring technical mastery, fresh perspectives, and compelling narratives to ArtExpo New York 2025. Each artist has been chosen for their ability to push artistic boundaries and inspire new ways of seeing the world.
Joyce Pommer
Born in Quincy, Massachusetts, Joyce Pommer studied at The Academy of Art College in San Francisco, The Art Institute of Boston, and the Art Students League in New York City. Her work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions across the U.S., including a solo show at Southwest Minnesota State University Art Museum, which acquired her work. She has been featured on the covers of Art Voices and Women Arts Quarterly, and in Studio Visit and Art Folio 2020. She has participated in The Other Art Fair (Brooklyn), the Boston International Fine Art Show (2019, 2022), and Focus Art Fair New York (2024). She currently works from her studio in Long Island City, New York.
Dressvanximo
Dressvanximo explores emotional tension, everyday discomfort, and personal release through bold colors, symbolic imagery, and expressive mark-making. Through recurring motifs like skulls and raw, handwritten textures, their work reflects deeply personal yet universally relatable experiences—capturing the complexity of survival, communication, and identity.
Ma Songyi
Ma Songyi is a textile-based artist who creates delicate, emotionally resonant works using embroidery, beads, and layered fabrics. Her practice focuses on capturing the quiet and often overlooked beauty of everyday life, drawing on personal reflection and social encounters to shape poetic, material-driven compositions.
GuNu Park
GuNu Park earned his BFA in Sculpture from Jeonju University and his MFA from Sungshin Women’s University. He has held solo exhibitions since 2007 and has participated in major art fairs such as KIAF, Daegu Art Fair, and New York Art Expo. His work has also been shown internationally in Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and New Caledonia. A frequent recipient of public art commissions and awards, Park currently serves as Executive Director of the Gimpo Sculptors Association and is a member of the Korean Sculptors Association.
Sang Nam Park
Born in 1961 in Seoul, Sang Nam Park studied Western painting at Hansung University and graduated from École des Beaux-Arts de Versailles in 1993. He has exhibited widely in Korea and abroad, including in France, Poland, and Singapore. His work reflects on memory, time, and the human relationship with place, using textured surfaces and poetic language to explore personal and universal traces of life.
Yim Soo Bin
Yim Soo Bin was born in 1985 in Seoul and holds a BFA from Suwon University and an MFA in Sculpture from the University of Seoul. Her recent solo exhibitions include Labyrinthos, Respiration, and Inshallah, shown in venues such as Beeum Gallery, Gallery Space &, and YTN Namsan Gallery. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions and art fairs throughout Korea, and her work explores rhythm, breath, and spatial awareness through sculptural installations.
Gong Hyunjin
Working primarily with wood, Gong Hyunjin carves delicate sculptural forms that explore memory, identity, and the traces of time. Her work has been exhibited throughout Korea and reflects a quiet yet powerful exploration of inner experience. Her sculptures invite viewers into an introspective space through subtle texture and restrained expression.
