Florence Alfano McEwin
Florence Alfano McEwin is a painter and printmaker based in Wyoming. Her collagraph prints and paintings, often centered around vegetation, are inspired by a deep awareness of her environment and a responsive observation of all growing things—whether they are considered weeds or cultivated plants.

She is a Professor Emeritus at Western Wyoming College and holds a Ph.D. from the University of North Texas College of Visual Arts in Denton, an MA from the University of Wyoming in Laramie, and a BFA from UMass Amherst.

Her work has been exhibited and appreciated by audiences both nationally and internationally, including in Japan, Canada, Italy, Germany, England, Scotland, the Netherlands, and France.Â

McEwin has received numerous accolades, such as the George and Helen Segal Foundation Award in Painting (New Jersey), two Wyoming State Art Fellowships, and a printmaking award in Beijing, China, along with many other national and international honors.
