
Nina Tokhtaman Valetova
Nina Petrovna Valetova, also known as Nina Tokhtaman Valetova, is a Russian-American painter renowned for her metaphysical realism. Born on November 19, 1958, in Berdyash, Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, she graduated from the Faculty of Arts and Graphics at Bashkir State Pedagogical Institute in Ufa. Valetova immigrated to the United States in 1993 and developed the Synthesis Art Style, combining elements of abstract and figurative art with influences from cubism, suprematism, and surrealism. Her work is part of several notable collections, including the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, Chuvash State Art Museum in Cheboksary, and Omsk Center of Contemporary Art. Valetova has exhibited internationally, with shows at the Manege in Moscow, Arthaus Gallery in Dallas, and Boulevard Galerie in Copenhagen. She is currently based in New York.
