
Sung Yong Hong
Sung-Yong Hong, a Korean artist, uses lenticular lenses to create printed images with depth and motion. He practices holography, creating three-dimensional images using lasers and light. Influenced by Salvador Dali, his work has roots in the Cranbrook Academy’s 1968 exhibitions. Hong studied photography at Kaywon University of Arts & Design and earned a BFA in Fine Art and Photography from Chung-Ang University in Seoul. His series, including Heuristic, Noise, Darkness-Incompletion, and photostudio-lock, explore the invisible universe and unconscious realms through noise and darkness, visualizing the faintest of memories
