Sasho Blazes
Sasho Blazes is a contemporary artist from North Macedonia, whose work explores complex psychological and cultural themes through a blend of abstract and symbolic expression. His art is characterized by the deconstruction of the overwhelming influx of modern information and its impact on human psychology, which he reassembles into a visual language. Blazes delves into the internalization of multiple layers of reality, often infusing his work with a surreal atmosphere. His recent pieces reflect a psychological journey of escaping reality, seeking meditation, and finding freedom through a metaphorical “dive beneath the surface.”
Blazes is known for experimenting with diverse materials, including unconventional media such as nylon, aluminum, and plastics, which broaden the expressive capabilities of his work. His pieces often explore the interaction of chaos and tranquility, light and shadow, using underwater landscapes and reflections to symbolize a deep connection with one’s innermost emotions.
He has gained international recognition through various exhibitions, including “High in no man’s land” at the National Gallery in Skopje in 2022, showcasing his unique perspective and aesthetic interpretation.
